+ Sơn UV  là loại sơn sau khi sơn lên bề mặt gỗ (bằng súng phun sơn hoặc cọ quét) sẽ khô (hay còn gọi là đóng rắn) thông qua tia UV (tia cực tím). Trong khi đó các hệ sơn khác như PU, sơn men để cho lớp sơn khô cần phải pha 1 lượng nhất định chất cứng (là chất làm cho sơn khô rắn lại) vào dung dịch sơn trước khi sơn.

+ Hệ sơn này có nhiều tính năng ưu việc và nổi trội hơn các loại sơn khác trong đó nổi bật nhất vẫn là sơn có độ phủ tốt và rất đều, màng sơn rất dai, độ cứng cao. Đặc biệt nhất đó là khả năng trống chầy xước. Có lẽ thế, sơn UV được ứng dụng nhiều nhất vẫn là trên sản phẩm sàn gỗ.
